We are pleased to welcome Mr. Dylan Noble, a 2011 Smith-Cotton graduate and Symphony Scholarship recipient, as a guest artist. Mr. Noble is director of the award-winning Belton High School jazz program, assistant director of high school marching band and concert bands, and the director of the Belton Middle School jazz and high school band.

Dylan Noble Bio

Mr. Dylan Noble is the director of the award-winning Belton High School jazz program, assistant director of marching band & concert bands, and the director of the Belton Middle School jazz and concert bands, where he has worked since 2016. His jazz ensembles regularly rank among the best in the region, and a number of his students have received Missouri All-State Concert Band and Jazz Band honors. Mr. Noble was blessed to receive the 2022 Belton School District #124 Teacher of the Year award. He was then recognized as a 2023 Kansas City Regional Teacher of the Year and a semifinalist for the 2023 Missouri State Teacher of the Year. He is an active member of the Sounds of South Kansas City Community Band, and is the Kansas City Metro District #3 Jazz Vice-President elect, a position where he helps facilitate and coordinate the All-District Jazz Bands. He earned a Guinness World Record for performing in the world’s largest tuba ensemble in 2018.

Mr. Noble is a 2011 Smith-Cotton graduate and holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia (Bachelors of Science in Music Education) and the University of Missouri-Kansas City (Masters of Music Education).

Mr. Noble’s professional affiliations include the Missouri Music Educators Association, National Association for Music Education, Missouri Bandmasters Association, Missouri Association for Jazz Education, Missouri State Teachers Association, and Phi Mu Alpha.
