The Sedalia Symphony Orchestra Scholarship Fund is named in honor of Harold J. Johnston, who served as our symphony conductor for over thirty years. This fund reflects our commitment to nurturing young talent. The Sedalia Symphony is dedicated to providing educational opportunities in central Missouri through high-quality musical performances, local string programs, and exciting scholarship opportunities.
The Harold J. Johnston Memorial Scholarship offers two scholarships of $1,000 each. This scholarship serves as financial aid and a stepping stone toward a promising future for outstanding high school instrumentalists in Sedalia and the surrounding areas.
