William Decker has been a member of the Sedalia Symphony Board of Directors since 2021. He has played bassoon and occasionally saxophone with the Sedalia Symphony since 2004, when he and his wife, Cindy, and their five children moved to Sedalia from Ohio. Cindy also plays with the symphony, initially on oboe and now on clarinet. He studied physics, music, and pre-med at Utah State University. He works as a radiation oncology physician at the Cancer Center at Bothwell Regional Health Center and other hospitals in the area. He stays very active in the community with music, church, medical, and volunteer activities.
Robin Wyatte has been a member of the Sedalia Symphony Board of Directors since 2024 and currently serves as the Vice President. Robin spent many years teaching mathematics in schools, including Smith-Cotton High School, SFCC, and UCM. Her last years in education were spent as an Assistant Principal with Smith-Cotton High School. Some Sedalians may also remember Robin as a previous owner (for 20 years with her husband, Bill) of the Wheel Thing Skate Center here in Sedalia.
Robin studied mathematics and vocal/piano at UCM where she also played the trumpet in the band. She and her husband, Bill, have three adult children and 8 grandchildren (so far). She spends her “retired” time accompanying private vocal lessons at SFCC, traveling, gardening, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and going on adventures with her family.
Music has always been a major focus for Linda Pappert. Linda is a musical theatre director and performer in the central Missouri area. Most recently at Capital City Productions Dinner Theatre in Jefferson City, Scene One Theatre in Jefferson City, The Royal Theatre in Versailles, The Finke Theatre in California, and The Liberty Center Association for the Arts in Sedalia.
She is proud to be a member of the Sedalia Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors. Linda is excited about the orchestra’s talented conductor and musicians enriching the area with outstanding live concerts throughout the year. Season tickets are available now, and seeing the community continue to support the arts at the concerts is thrilling.
Meg Liston joined the Sedalia Symphony Board of Directors in December 2021 and presently serves as the Symphony’s Treasurer. Meg brings to the symphony board a vast knowledge and experience in the administration and management of charitable, 501(c)(3) exempt organizations, including Sedalia Downtown Development, Inc., Sedalia Area Habitat for Humanity, Friends of the Sedalia Trust, End of the Trails Monument Committee and the Mid-Missouri Humane Society. Meg serves as the administrator for Sedalia Downtown Development, Inc., a non-profit organization since 2003.
Meg is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, with a B.S. degree from CMU. She and her husband, Rob, enjoy a large family of 4 adult children, 10 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is an avid fly fisherman and loves gardening and other outdoor activities.
Meg appreciates the Sedalia Symphony Society’s long history of responsible financial management and will work to provide a clear understanding of the symphony’s finances and advance sound growth in its funds. She joins all board members in striving to grow and strengthen the extraordinary performing orchestra for years into the future.
Dr. Clark Fobian is a veterinarian who enjoys music. Except for a three-year “hiatus,” Dr. Fobian has served on the Symphony Board since 2004.
Clark enjoys his involvement with pets and music. Though at first glance, there is no apparent connection between the two, Clark states that both bring pleasure, joy and entertainment to those who experience the benefits of engaging in these activities.
Clark and his wife Rita have been married for 50 years this year. They are members of First United Methodist Church Sedalia. They have two grown married children and four grandchildren with whom to share their love of pets, music, and life.
Clark is currently serving as President and Chairman of the Sedalia Symphony Society Board of Directors.

Jerrode Marsh is the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Sedalia Symphony. In addition to this, she is also the Executive Director of the Concordia Music Conservatory, a regional music school dedicated to bringing high-quality music lessons and community ensembles to the Central Missouri region, and the Director of Music at Saint Paul Lutheran High School. Trained initially as a concert pianist, she received performance degrees from Portland State University and The University of Texas at Austin, where her doctoral emphasis was on collaborative playing. She moved to Concordia in the fall of 2015 from Frankfurt, Germany, where she lived and worked for nearly twenty years as a professional musician, performing extensively as a piano soloist, collaborative artist, and conductor throughout Germany, Austria, and England, and as a Parish Music Director. While living in Europe, she collaborated with many international singers and instrumentalists and performed in special projects with the Frankfurt Opera and was actively involved in performing and organizing many benefit concerts. She has two grown children, Vanessa Rodewald (married to Seth) and Christoph, and one grandson. She enjoys baking and cooking, reading, writing and traveling. She also serves as organist at her home church, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Warrensburg.

Susanna Smith was born in Virginia and grew up in a military family, which gave her the opportunity to live in and experience many different places. Throughout her life, music has been a constant source of joy. She has played several instruments, sung in church choirs, and especially enjoyed orchestra during her middle and high school years.
Susanna earned a bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University. Six years ago, she and her husband, Brian, moved to Sedalia with their six children.
Susanna enjoys homeschooling her children and giving back to the community. She especially values opportunities to support the arts and has volunteered with theater productions at the Liberty Center. With three of her children playing string instruments, she has seen firsthand the value of music education and the lasting impact that access to the arts can have on young people.
Susanna is excited to serve on the board and looks forward to supporting the symphony, strengthening music education, and helping ensure that the arts continue to be an important part of the Sedalia community.
